Admit it, at first glance you thought...Christmas Card!
Granted it has all the hallmarks of the joyous season.
It's actually about kids that have birthdays in December,
and how they sometimes feel overshadowed for this reason.

Through all the busy shopping hours,
always in hopes of what Santa might bring,
we as parents hope he brings a little something extra
for these birthday boys and girls!
Finally tightening the hold on our purse strings.

Having a son born on 12/28,
I truly know of which I speak.
True we live in a pampered society,
still, their birthdays deserve the same notoriety
as other children born the following or preceding week.
